Open Call for Artists: Kasashima Gallery Invitational Exhibition – Paris Station

Kasashima Gallery open call for artists to exhibit at the Louvre.

Kasashima Gallery is currently holding an Open Call for Artists to participate in an exhibition at the Louvre in Paris in April 2025.

OSAKA, JAPAN, December 17, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Louvre, a symbol of France's royal heritage, is a historical monument and one of the world's most renowned art institutions. Housing treasures from royalty, religious artifacts, and masterpieces of immense cultural value, the Louvre boasts a collection of nearly 500,000 works, with approximately 35,000 pieces regularly on display. It stands as one of the most significant artistic repositories globally. Kasashima Gallery, located in Japan's Kansai region, has launched an open call for submissions to present selected works of contemporary artists at the ART SHOPPING - SALON INTERNATIONAL D'ART CONTEMPORAIN in Paris, France, in April 2025.

In recent years, Kasashima Gallery has invited numerous prominent Asian artists to participate in international exhibitions. After Osaka (Japan), Barcelona (Spain), Milan (Italy), and Miami (USA), the gallery will next present in Paris, France. Having secured participation from internationally renowned artists, Kasashima Gallery has now entered the second phase with a global open call for submissions. The gallery will carefully review applications and select artists whose works align with the exhibition’s layout. These selected artists will showcase their masterpieces alongside hundreds of global talents at the Carrousel du Louvre, captivating the world with their creativity and artistry.

"This exhibition project is a collaboration with a Kyoto-based folding fan workshop that boasts over 180 years of history. The selected artists' works will be transformed into folding fans and showcased at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris," noted Yu Le, PR representative of Kasashima Gallery. Yu further highlighted that the gallery has already invited several renowned Asian calligraphy and painting artists to participate. The combination of Kyoto folding fans and Chinese calligraphy and painting beautifully reflects the refined and timeless aesthetics of Eastern art, as well as the cultural spirit passed down for centuries. Art knows no boundaries; beyond Chinese calligraphy and painting, artists from all disciplines are encouraged to submit their works, presenting the diverse expressions and boundless possibilities of contemporary art.

For many artists, due to factors such as language, geographic location, and budget, participating in international exhibitions and even showcasing their work at the prestigious Louvre Museum is seen as an unattainable dream. Kasashima Gallery is calling for artists to exhibit at the Louvre, offering services such as artist promotion, social media outreach, live streaming, and media relations. This is not just a platform to showcase artworks, but a valuable opportunity to step into a world-class art venue. With the support of a professional art organization, artists are able to focus on their creative work, bringing their pieces to a broader audience and realizing their lifelong artistic dreams.
